History

The American International Christian School started in 1996 in the Beautiful Island of Fiji. The School was founded by Rev. Andrew Nobel Taylor (the Founder and President). The school was formed to cater for Parents who want their children to have a Christiann mindset while engaging in their academic studies.

The Staff

Our staff are attentive and very helpful in meeting to our students academic needs. Our goals are set to help the students of AICS to grow both academically and in Godly character. With the continued improvements and continuity of our school curriculum, we aim to achieve many things in years to come.

School Aims

AICS strives to provide a quality education, with high academic standards, and an international focus. We value the diverse multicultural makeup of our country and community while unapologetically emphasizing the pre-eminence of Christ. We encourage tolerance and acceptance of all cultures, where the rights of all are respected, and biblical values upheld. Essential school aims include: Walking with the learner until s/he can walk alone. Teaching students to become effective, independent learners. Developing high achievement in the 3 basic R’s: Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic (mathematics). Using modern, progressive teaching and assessment methods (including computerized and standardized testing) Involving parents in the process of student learning Tailoring the learning process to suit individual students’ needs.

Guiding Princples

The AICS Motto is taken from Luke 2:52 which says that… “Jesus grew in WISDOM, and STATURE, and FAVOR with God and man.” This is our desire for each one of our students. With the Word of God as our sure foundation, and Christ as our perfect example, we will endeavour to model and inculcate godly character in each student. AICS is a school where Christ is lifted up, and where each child is encouraged to develop to his/her maximum potential in a Christ centered program that is fun, interesting, and challenging. We will develop in children an intellectual curiosity and an interest in learning. We will encourage individuality and creativity within regular school guidelines. While AICS will actively promote and teach respect, tolerance and cooperation for all cultures, religions, genders, and ages, it is part of our vision and purpose to teach students how to share Christ with others through their lives and personal witness. Positive behaviour will be promoted by teaching students biblical principles, social skills, and values.
